What is AI-powered site search summarization?

An educational guide on why Summairize overlays answers on top of the search you already maintain.

The problem with traditional site search

Most small and mid-sized business websites lean on keyword matching to surface results. That means visitors get long lists of snippets to dig through, each with a slightly different phrasing of the same idea.

Scanning those links is slow, and when the keyword doesn't exactly match the way a visitor asks their question, the answer may be buried or missing. Friction like that is the reason many site search widgets go unused.

What summarization adds on top

Summairize adds one AI-generated answer above the familiar list of links. Visitors can quickly read a concise response that cites the exact pages we found, so there is zero mystery about where the information came from.

The underlying search stays untouched. We simply highlight the most relevant content and map each sentence back to your public URLs so people know which page to open if they want the full context.

How it works with Summairize

Step 1

Crawl only public content

We respect robots.txt, only ingest publicly available URLs, and stay scoped to the domains you approved for the overlay.

Step 2

Build an index

Content is chunked, embedded, and organized into an index that is optimized for summarization so answers stay accurate over time.

Step 3

Fetch, ground, and summarize at query time

When someone searches, we retrieve the most relevant passages, then generate a constrained, secure summary that quotes those passages directly.

Why not replace your search entirely?

Replacing your search means retraining visitors, touching more of your stack, and risking outages. Summairize is purposely an overlay. It decorates your existing results with a summary layer while keeping the habit visitors already have: type, skim, click.

Because the overlay is additive, it is easy to trial, measure, and scale without burning the bridge back to the native experience your team already manages.

Build

See the developer integration guide

When you're ready to wire the overlay into your own search, the developer integration guide walks through the plain HTML/JS drop-in, the Next.js pattern you see on our /demo page, and deeper custom integrations. Our team can also help you scope the rollout end-to-end.
